Hairstyles Tips: New to Lace Wigs?

Hairstyles can make or break your looks and almost all modern men and women understand this fact very well. But the realty is that if you keep on experimenting with your hair, they can suffer from severe damage which is not desired at all. This is where the lace wigs come into the picture.

Many people are taking interest in wearing wigs these days so that they can change the appearance every day without hampering the health of their original hair. The popularity of wigs has also increased because many celebrities like Tyra or Beyonce wear them both onscreen and off screen and look stunning every time. Stars often have strong influence on common people and thus the huge popularity of lace wigs has drawn a number of business people into this field. But the quality available from all of them is not equivalent.

There are three(3) essential characteristics that define a high quality full lace wigs:
-The Hair density
-The Manufacture method
-The Hair knotting method

a) The hair density determines how full and natural your full lace wig will look.

It should be between 130% and 150% depending on the hair texture, meaning whether the hair used is synthetic hair (kanekylon or tayokalon fibers) ,or human hair(Indian Remy hair, Chinese virgin hair, or European hair ), and also, depending of the hair style of the full lace wig (Straight, yaki, curly, kinky, deep wave, body wave style).

A lower percentage than 130% in the hair density will show one's scalp when the hair is parted and will look unreal.

A higher percentage than 150% in the hair density is too full and too heavy, and will look unreal. This hair density is usually used for heavy theatrical wigs.

b) The manufacture method meaning whether the full lace wig is handmade and each hair inserted, one at the time by a professional wig maker, or whether several hair strands are inserted at one time, in the lace cap base by a machine.

c) The hair knotting method, meaning whether or not, each hair strand, that has been inserted in the lace cap base, has been double-knotted, in order to provide durability, and avoid excessive shedding when combing/brushing/washing/drying the full lace wig, which will ensure a long life span of the hair unit.

However, the finished appearance of the double-knotted process shows all of the knotted hair strands near the scalp area.

If the hair color is close to, or the same as the lace cap base, these knots are not noticeable upon close scrutiny.

But if the hair color is dark and the lace color is light, the knots are then more noticeable upon close scrutiny.

The technique used to minimize the appearance of the knots is called bleaching. Bleaching the knots of a full lace wig lighten the knots, so that each hair strand, blends with the lace and look like natural hair growing from the scalp.

How many bleached knots get lighten up, depends on the hair color and the lace color of the cap base.

If you still need to find out more, you can always check with your stylist for more information! :)

There are several short hairstyle trends for you to choose from that are best for the hot summer. Let run through some of the latest short hairstyles in this session.

Short Bangs Hairstyles
Major bangs are the focal point here. The hairstyle positions long layers through the crown while the perimeter is tapered close. For a night out, just mist roots with volumizer and blow dry over a round brush so volume goes extra full in front.

Crops Hairstyles
Forget same length styles. When you want an anti-cookie cutter look, ask for sliced-in layering on the light side, then comb down the fringe and detail ends by hand. To create direction, brush down from a center point to top.

Sideways Bangs Hairstyles
Cuts with full bangs swooping sideways are perfect for playing around with color. A warmer front fringe sets off the icy cool, graduated side. Blow hair out with a large round brush to add magnificent movement directed up and out.

Bangs Zoom Hairstyles
Lastly, for an unexpected touch, this cut for thick, slightly wavy locks spotlights rounded bangs and heavy panels on either side. Blow-out fringe over a round brush, directing it straight forward.

So we believe these are enough hairstyles and tips for you today, so enjoy your summer and have a great stylish looking hair to go along with it!

Hairstyles Tips: Sedu Hairstyles Revisit

I am sure everyone know the hairstyles made popular by Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston. Yeah! Sedu hairstyle. A sedu hairstyle means a seductive hairstyle that refers to the super straight kind of hair fashion that everybody is crazy about these days. Everywhere you look, whether in the malls, offices or colleges, it is clear that women love this hairstyle every after years from now.

Even though, the sedu hairstyles may look expensive and hard to maintain, the truth is everybody can achieve this hair do with the use of a quality flat iron. The desirable flat iron should be made of ceramic which is the best kind of flat iron to be used for this purpose of straightening out your hair to get that ultra straight hair without causing damage to your hair through overheating while adding the natural shine that gives off a healthy look for your hair. The ceramic flat iron does this by neutralizing the positive ions on your hair while trapping moistures and oils that are needed to give of that silky hair appearance.

To get the best out of your flat iron, make sure that it has adjustable temperature settings and take into consideration of the highest temperature it offers. This is very important to suit the needs of a variety of different hair types that need different temperature range to achieve that pin straight hair look. Coarser, curlier and thicker hair are obviously harder to straightened as compared to thin, slightly wavy hair that does not need too much heat to achieve the same look. High temperatures are desired for hairs that are difficult to iron out. Check also that it has a fast heat time that is less than 30 seconds to reach the desired temperature to save time and electricity.

When ironing your hair, it is best to work with small parts of your hair at a time. Do not rush, as you want to get the best straightened look that covers your whole head. Working with small area at a time also eliminates heat transactions. To get a sleeker super straight finish, it is best to touch up areas that need to be iron out even more. By focusing the heat more on the wanted areas, this will give off a much thorough ultra straight look. Add shine serum after you are done to keep the hair straightened for a longer period of time and to provide extra shine to your silky straight hair.

Hairstyles Tips: Hair Extension

When you think about hair extensions, you think about long thick sexy hair, do you ever think about how it is achieved? In fact, there are different ways of fixing hair extensions in your hair. The first thing to think about is what kind of extension you are getting. Is the hair is being extended a strand at a time or will you be having a weft attached?

Hair Extension
A strand at a time is also called strand by strand and means selecting a strand of your own hair and attaching a strand of hair extension using one of the ways listed later. A weft is a band of hair stitched together, ready to be taped or sewn onto your hair ( good for providing instant length and usually cheaper than individual strands).

The most common ways of fixing hair extensions are:-

Weaving - you usually go to the salon for this procedure and the stylist will section you hair to create rows, on each corn row, human hair extensions are sewn onto selected strands of your own hair using a needle, close by the scalp. Your hair strand will generally be pulled quite tight to get a good fixture, so this can be quite uncomfortable. This method of attaching hair extensions is often preferred due to the fact that there are no chemicals used. The hair extensions will need to be regularly checked for looseness, and re tighten as necessary.

Hair Extension
Bonding - This method uses a chemical or glue to attach a hair extension to your hair, usually strand by strand. The extension is attached close to the scalp. Most extensions can be removed using a a remover to dissolve the glue.. Some times acetone is used.

Hair Extension
Fusion - can be cold or warm fusion, link/lock fusion or fusion loops. This is where pretipped extension hair strands are coated with a chemical that "fuses" with your own hair when treated with an applicator gun. The extension can also be fixed using a l ring that is tightened around your hair strand and the extension strand to keep them attached. These are generally attached in a salon and may need to be tightened, if they become loose or removed(when finished with) by the stylist.

Clip-ons - the easiest to put in your hair and take out again. The extension can be clipped into your hair as close to the base as possible. Clip ons are usually made of cheaper quality hair and must be removed before washing hair.

Lastly, the most important consideration when come to hair extension: Are you looking for a permanent or temporary hair extension style. A permanent hair style change usually means a number of visits to your salon to get the human hair extensions properly attached and regular appointments to look care for them after wards. The human hair extensions will need to be looked after carefully to keep them looking healthy, this can mean less frequent hair washing using a good conditioning type shampoo. A temporary hair style change can often be put in at home, the hair extensions taken out when not needed and reused as required.

Hairstyles Tips: Straightening Flat Iron Revisit

Straightening your hair eventually leads to dry and damaged hair, but it doesn't have to be that way. Many of the new flat irons have developed a way to keep your hair from being damaged. It's possible through the material that they are using in their products to straighten your hair called ceramic and tourmaline.

I am sure this is not the first time you have heard of ceramic. The ceramic plates in the flat iron will help to greatly reduce the frizz and prevent your hair from further damage because it uses a moisture heat instead.

Corioliss flat irons use this latest technology that will help to prevent your hair from being damaged, and will make your hair straighter faster than your traditional flat iron. Corioliss hair straighteners have many other great advantages as well such as adjustable heat settings to help you find the right setting for your type hair. This is important if you want to prevent from having to go over your hair more than once. For example if your hair is thin you will use a lower heat setting than someone with thick hair.

There are of course a few different models with the Corioliss hair straighteners. You should go through a few of them to see which model will offer you just what you need for your hair type. One good model is the Corioliss pro flat iron. This model comes in a 1inch plate size, but it also uses tourmaline plates. Tourmaline is better than ceramic plates because it produces much more negative ions. It's the negative ions that help to control the frizz, look shinier and to be healthier.
